Nic & David’s Wedding, St Vigeans Church, followed by Woodville, Arbroath

There’s something so special about not only getting to know our clients before their wedding, but getting to know the place they’ve chosen to get married in. Arbroath means so much to this fab couple. David because it’s home and Nic because it’s where she’s at home with David.

For those who know Nic and David you’ll know how special they are are. They’re so kind and generous with those around them and clearly love each other to bits. One of Nic’s friends described her as “the eternal hostess”  – even on her own wedding day she was looking out for everyone else.

Mr and Mrs Deeds we had a ball with you two! We loved taking shots in your bus-stop in the maddest rain ever and then heading back to your house where in true Nic style you had towels at the ready. Thank you for looking after us so exceptionally… We also loved how you’d planned everything  locally… from your food and favours right through to your flowers.

Soo many special moments of your wedding day that we’re not sure if we can do it all justice in one blog post, but here goes…

Lots of love,

A&N x

PS – thank you again for spotting the sun with us and for and hopping out to chase those magical golden rays… you guys rock!

On the way to preparations in the morning, we spotted this incredible seascape and had to pull over and grab a shot of it. There’s something about Scotland that even on a wet day it looks breathtaking.

David’s love of  Arbroath FC is up there with his love of Nic, so as a surprise in the morning Nic had organised for the boys to have a kick-around at their home ground of Gayfield Park…

And then afterwards – breakfast for the boys…

Meanwhile the girls were getting ready across town.

Real Life Wedding: Hopetoun House

25 May 2024

Hopetoun House is magical pretty much most days. But the day of Nic and Oli’s wedding it seemed to have an extra layer of something. Perhaps it was the weather (impeccably behaved for once), or the sweet sound of laughter on the breeze, or just the general vibe of all things extraordinarily perfect…

Real Life Wedding: Dunglass Estate

06 April 2024

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

03 April 2024

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?
