Laura & Michael’s Wedding, Mansfield Traquair, Edinburgh

We had so much fun with this super-chilled pair. We loved that they saw their wedding as a really special party with their friends and family there to see them get married. And what better a place to party than Mansfield Traquair? One of our favourite wow-factor Edinburgh city centre wedding venues…

The weather outside may have been miserable and cold, yet the exquisite flowers and awesome volume of candles provided by Planet worked perfectly to make Mansfield look stunning and feel so warm. The lighting (by Tower) created a fantastic atmosphere and shows the impact of brilliant lighting…

Laura and Michael, we loved how you kind of threw the wedding schedule out the window and chose to organise your wedding in pretty much twelve weeks (exactly the same length of time we took ourselves when we organised our own wedding all those years ago!)

Everything came together so perfectly for your winter wedding… and you even managed to give your guests an extra surprise with the pipe band at night. Seriously impressed!

And now for some of our highlights from this magical wedding…

Real Life Wedding: Hopetoun House

25 May 2024

Hopetoun House is magical pretty much most days. But the day of Nic and Oli’s wedding it seemed to have an extra layer of something. Perhaps it was the weather (impeccably behaved for once), or the sweet sound of laughter on the breeze, or just the general vibe of all things extraordinarily perfect…

Real Life Wedding: Dunglass Estate

06 April 2024

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

03 April 2024

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?
