Yiding and Scott chose to hold their amazing Chinese wedding celebrations at Lennoxlove House in Haddington. It was the perfect spot for a day packed with jaw dropping elegance, love, fun and lots of partying.
Prepare to swoon over the stunning Yiding whose ah-mazing Alexander McQueen wedding shoes and beautiful Valentino wedding dress – incredible doesn’t come close to describing how fabulous she looked. Not to mention her gorgeous traditional tea ceremony gown and then evening attire. Yiding – seriously impressed that you managed three changes of clothes in one day so effortlessly. Your hairdresser and make-up artist was so true to his name – a real Hero.
The time we’ve spent with Yiding and Scott has shown us how much fun they are together. One of the Chinese characters used in Chinese weddings is that of ‘double happiness’. What a perfect description of a day bursting with genuine fun and emotion.
So, on with this fabulous wedding celebration…
Yiding and Scott entertained their guests with a traditional Chinese lion dance, which is believed to bring good luck and fortune. We also witnessed the traditional Chinese custom of chai ching (which literally means plucking the greens); a quest by the lion to seek the auspicious green normally ‘vegetables’ like lettuce which in Chinese called cái that sounds like fortune. It was great fun to watch (and listen to!)
Yiding and Scott’s wedding cake was topped with the special Chinese character which is used for double happiness…
And then on to the beautiful traditional chinese tea ceremony – this is where the bride is formally introduced to the groom’s family through the symbolism of the tea ceremony.
Planet Flowers had weaved their magic in the Great Hall mixing red burgundy pink and two tone nicolle roses together bringing the Chinese theme into this special room in Lennoxlove House…
Mr and Mrs Fong thank you for letting us be a part of all your celebrations. We had an amazing day with you that we’ll remember for a long, long time…

Just putting it out there – Michelle and Ryan are two of the most wonderfully warm, funny humans you’ll every meet. Clearly their friends and family adore them. Oh and Llamas talk to them – so that definitely deserves some kudos.
Thinking back to our first meeting with Katie and David (which was also at Dundas Castle) one of the things we loved most about this pair was how much they laughed and smiled together. And it was exactly the same on their wedding day… from walking through their avalanche of confetti to holding tight to each other on the top of a very windy roof of Dundas, these two are for each other. Every step of the way.
Beth and Chris’ wedding at The Signet Library was a day all about celebrating with their favourite people
From the minute we jumped on a call with this pair we knew their easy-going nature was going to result in day that was designed with their guests in mind.
Well, you’ve surpassed yourselves Mr and Mrs Bluesky. Drop dead beautiful.
