This Torridon wedding was nothing short of a belter.
A little way from Edinburgh (around about 5 hours) is a very special place. And it’s all the more special for having to travel to it. A destination.
For us driving is such a good chance to chat and to catch-up. Laura and Gary love driving too… and it does help when you have a very beautiful car to drive. For Laura and Gary the remoteness of The Torridon is so much of its charm. And we totally agree.
We’d heard such good things about The Torridon (the many recent awards speak for themselves!) and yet we were still blown away by the beauty of the landscape and the warmth of the welcome. Colleen you’re a true star. Lisa thank you for looking after us so well. Dan thank you for the loan of the boots!
What a privilege to be part of this intimate family wedding. There is so much love between Laura and Gary and between their family. Thank you Mr & Mrs S for your invitation to photograph your wedding. We think you know how much we enjoyed it…
Here are some highlights from a weekend that was so full of highlights that we struggled to narrow it down for the blog.
Enjoy lots and we can’t wait to show you all your pictures.
See you soon,
A&N x

In the morning Laura and Gary had arranged a treasure hunt for the kids… and there was a treasure box for each of them…

The weather was just beautiful – 22 degrees at the shore of the loch. Wow!

What a fantastic finale to an awesome day, by the best in the business, 21cc Fireworks…

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings, the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.
Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of Fluffylump.
The Royal College of Physicians is a little piece of wedding magic right in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. For Isla and Patrick it was nothing short of perfect.
It’s a known fact that they are besotted with each other. In the best kind of way which means they look out for each other and take the time to check-in (even on the wedding morning) But also they include all of their family and friends which makes everyone love them more Their vows were the most beautiful vows we have ever heard, but then they are both exceptionally gifted with words so we should have expected nothing less.
