The Caves was the perfect backdrop for Marianne and Matthew’s Edinburgh city centre wedding. This pair entertained their guests throughout the whole day, throwing in one or two surprise Scottish treats along the way.
Spend even a few minutes with M and M (yes they are every bit as sweet!) and you’ll see how completely perfect they are together. Theirs is an easy, welcoming relationship filled with love and faith. Family is also hugely important to them both so this wedding was all about involving family members at every step of the way.
Thank you Marianne and Matthew for letting us be part of your celebrations and tell the story of your wedding. Something tells us you two are going to have so many great adventures together. And if your dance floor is anything to by you will enjoy every single minute of them.
Here’s a glimpse for now…

The Caves is one of Edinburgh’s Unusual Wedding Venues. Truth be told it’s a bit of a hidden secret, so if you find yourself invited to a wedding here then you’ll want to say yes as you’re in for a party like no other. Tucked away, off the Cowgate, it’s a stone’s throw from the Royal Mile, so is perfect for a city centre wedding. And who isn’t going to be event a little bit impressed with an 18th century vault as a backdrop to your event?

Dundas Castle was dressed to impress for Sukanya and Mark’s wedding. But even more than that this pair brought the party. Their family and friends were genuine, kind and absolutely hilarious. From impromptu karaoke to dancing during the drinks reception, everyone threw themselves into the celebration.
Vibrant, energetic and unforgettable…. all words that perfectly sum up Tasmin and David’s Dundas Castle wedding. This pair literally throw themselves into life and their wedding day was exactly the same. We love how they did things their way – including having flower grannies over flower girls. Genius!
The Balmoral Hotel’s afternoon teas are legendary, so what better way to celebrate your wedding than with an iconic afternoon tea with all your guests? Especially when everyone’s flown in from North America. Nora and Chris took it a step further and involved their guests in conducting the ceremony. Their guests acted as celebrant. It was perfect and so intimate and one or two tears were shed along the way.
