The Seamill Hydro is one of those wedding venues where you feel like you’ve escaped for the weekend. It’s got holiday vibes aplenty so you’re pretty much guaranteed to relax from the minute you get there.
For Kirsty and Ross their wedding was all about ’emotional hilarity’ which is a phrase we understand completely. These two chose marriage because they love each other to bits and they wanted to share that with their family and friends (who they are super close to). But also life is too short not to have an absolute blast whenever you get the opportunity so why let your wedding day be anything less that 100% fun?
There were so many wedding highlights for these two including: Kirsty’s first look with her Dad (no dry eyes!). Kirsty walking up the aisle and both seeing each other for the first time, Kenny, Ross’ dad, burning his kilt (spoiler he’s ok but the kilt may need remedial work) Their brothers winding each other up and creating an amazing vibe (we concur – Scott and Ryan are both natural comedians in their own unique ways), Kirsty dedicating her bouquet to my mum and Ross grandad Dave on the dance floor at the first dance (see the photograph below for how brilliant he was!)
And of course above all being blessed with an incredible sunset and time to be together on the beach which felt so natural for them both. Memories like that are the kind of gold that these two deserve.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Stewart for letting us be 100% part of your incredible wedding celebrations. You two are the most fun and you made us feel as though we were part of your family. Your wedding day was everything you said it would be and more.
Here’s a taster for now. We can’t wait to share all with you soon and create your album!

We are here for west coast sunsets. They deliver every time! And the Seamill Hydro Hotel is the perfect spot to enjoy them. With the views from the ceremony and dinner right across the sea, to it’s own private beach, it’s the kind of spot that is magic in all weathers. It’s a gem of a find and the kind of venue where all of your guests will feel like they’re on holiday, however near or far they’ve travelled.

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings, the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.
Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of Fluffylump.
The Royal College of Physicians is a little piece of wedding magic right in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. For Isla and Patrick it was nothing short of perfect.
It’s a known fact that they are besotted with each other. In the best kind of way which means they look out for each other and take the time to check-in (even on the wedding morning) But also they include all of their family and friends which makes everyone love them more Their vows were the most beautiful vows we have ever heard, but then they are both exceptionally gifted with words so we should have expected nothing less.
