Friends, family, fun and a wee dram of Fluffylump

Laura & Calum

Real Life Wedding: Mansfield Traquair

Mansfield Traquair is the perfect spot for an Edinburgh City Centre wedding – especially in the autumn when those red doors gleam for miles around.

Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.

Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of  Fluffylump. There were so many highlights,  including their perfectly personal ceremony (cue Rae squealing in delight when singing was mentioned) and of course their epic confetti tunnel). One of Laura add Callum’s favourite parts of the day was how much their friends and family threw themselves into the dancing and owned the floor.

Laura and Calum thank you for letting us tell this part of your story. We love how devoted you are to each other and the little ball of sunshine that is Rae. Enjoy these highlights and we’ll you soon!

#Big Blue Sky Love,

Niels & Alie x

If you’ve never seen behind the big red doors of Mansfield Traquair then you need to get yourself invited to an event there. It’s the kind of venue that is party-ready whatever the season. And the aisle? It’s like something out of the movies.

Real Life Wedding: Melville Castle

11 April 2026

Melville Castle has always had a special place in our hearts as it’s one of the first castles we ever photographed a wedding at. Combine that with one of the most incredible couples and you have the stuff of unstoppable wedding magic. Megan and Jonathan’s story is one of long-lasting friendship followed by falling in love. As they’ve grown up together they are a pair steeped in love and support for each other and that is so evident to anyone who knows them.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

01 November 2025

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings,  the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
