The Royal College of Physicians is a little piece of wedding magic right in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. For Isla and Patrick, getting married amongst the books was nothing short of perfect.
It’s a known fact that they are besotted with each other. In the best kind of way which means they look out for each other and take the time to check-in (even on the wedding morning) But also they include all of their family and friends which makes everyone love them more Their vows were the most beautiful vows we have ever heard, but then they are both exceptionally gifted with words so we should have expected nothing less.
Thank you Isla and Patrick for inviting us into your world and letting us tell your story. It was a privilege and also a whole lot of fun. From soaking up the autumn sun in the gardens, to watching you create epic moves on the dancefloor, we had a blast… and something tells us you did too.
We cannot wait to see your beautiful album come together. For now enjoy some (of our many!) highlights.
#BigBlueSkyLove,
Alie & Niels xx
Royal College of Physicians Ednburgh is a magical wedding spot in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. Not only is the building stunning from the outside, but inside you can choose to get married in the Victorian library and hold your party in the Great Hall. There’s also lots of space for guests to mingle at different parts of the day, which allows for great flow from beginning to end. We also love the fact that you’re allowed special access to Queen Street Gardens, which makes you feel even more like royalty on your wedding day.

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings, the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.
Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of Fluffylump.
