We remember the first time we met Marie and Matt all those months ago and their dreams for their Edinburgh wedding… we instantly knew it was going to be a cracking day and it was all that and more…We loved hearing about all their ideas throughout their planning. These two put so much thought and detail into their day to make sure that all their guests had a ball as they joined them for a weekend up in Edinburgh. And boy did they!
Marie and Matt chose a soft vintage theme to their day, holding their celebrations at the iconic Edinburgh Castle followed by the Scotsman Hotel, adding a good dose of Scottish-ness into their day. We loved all Marie’s vintage details, from her dress and accessories through to the girls shoes and the lace and bunting decorating the chairs and the Scotsman Hotel. And those handmade stitched name places – all made by bridesmaid Lucy – beautiful. We were even given our own – check out Facebook to see these. Thank guys – so thoughtful.
There were a few firsts on the day two… the first time we’ve ever had the Red Arrows do a fly past (just for Marie and Matt of course!), the first time these two became husband and wife – in fact the first time Matt became Marie’s wife – with a few giggles over that one… and the first time the new steps at the Scotsman steps were opened – just in time for Marie and Matt’s wedding.
Marie and Matt thank you for finding us. We were so delighted to be part of your wedding and have loved getting to know you two. You treated everyone to an amazing day and weekend too. Here’s some of our favourite photographs. Can’t wait to show you them all on your next Edinburgh jaunt. You two rock!

This was the moment when Marie was invited to take Matt as her new “wife” a slight faux pas on the by the registrar! Loved it!

The Scotsman Steps which join The Scotsman Hotel to Waverly Station and were just opened on the previous day – each of the 104 steps has been made from a different colour of marble and has been restored as part of a £250,000 restoration project. How fab do they look? We had to do some pictures of Marie and Matt on them…

At night, before their first dance, Marie popped on a stunning necklace and her hair done again. Soo gorgeous…

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings, the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.
Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of Fluffylump.
The Royal College of Physicians is a little piece of wedding magic right in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. For Isla and Patrick it was nothing short of perfect.
It’s a known fact that they are besotted with each other. In the best kind of way which means they look out for each other and take the time to check-in (even on the wedding morning) But also they include all of their family and friends which makes everyone love them more Their vows were the most beautiful vows we have ever heard, but then they are both exceptionally gifted with words so we should have expected nothing less.
