And now we come to the last Blue Sky wedding of 2010… and what a fab end to the year…
Do you ever speak to someone for the first time and immediately get a sense for who they are? The first time I spoke to Lauren it felt as though she was just down the road, rather than across the globe. Lauren is such a creative and her eye for style was so evident throughout their wedding. Style in a funky, under-stated and totally hits-the-mark way. Lauren and Colin had a vintage travel theme and it worked perfectly at Dalhousie Castle.
When we received their wedding invitation we both squealed with delight. It set the scene for a really special wedding, with guests travelling from all corners of the world. The atmosphere was so chilled and Lauren and Colin had even prepared a quiz for their guests during the champagne reception. That’s how much attention-to-detail these two put into their day.
Thanks guys for letting us join you. You two were so much fun to photograph and so relaxed together. We loved all your detailing – from your flight itinerary as your order of service through to your in-flight meal for your wedding breakfast. And to top it all, your different cakes for each table for your guests to delve into for desert.
Enjoy some highlights from your Scottish wedding. We hope the rest of your travels were lots of fun and that NYC was awesome…
Speak soon,
A&N
The speeches were great. Very funny and a little emotional and all very much from the heart…
Katie and Michael’s Mansfield Traquair wedding was all about enjoying every single minute. Which was pretty easy as literally this pair walk into a room and bring the party.
Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
