Laura & Matthew’s Wedding, The Garden Suite at The Norton House Hotel, Edinburgh

Now this really is a story of boy meets girl…or girl meets boy…

Laura and Matthew have known each other pretty much for-ever. Picture an awesome party to celebrate the marriage of a fab couple with lots of friends and family who all know each other so well. Top that off with one of the most gorgeous hot sunny days of our Edinburgh summer so far and an outdoor ceremony in the walled garden at The Norton House Hotel. Picture that and you can begin to imagine how fab this wedding was.

Laura and Matthew thank you for everything. Thank you for being yourselves; for being so genuine; for being lots of fun; for being great to photograph… and for making us feel 110% part of your wedding. Including making Sarah, our ace Blue Sky team member for the day, feel so welcome. You two are fab and clearly so special to so many people.

Soo many highlights from your wedding that we’ve struggled to pick. We loved that throughout it all you two couldn’t take the smiles off your faces. Exactly as it should be.

Look forward to seeing you soon,

Alie, Niels & Sarah xxx

P.S. On a personal note a huuuuge thank you to the awesome Sarah from Sarah Elizabeth Photography. When your husband is rushed to hospital you know you need to call on your best friends. It’s pretty handy that your best friend is also an amazing top class photographer. Love you lots Sarah. xxx

The amazing Planet Flowers created the bouquets for Laura and each of the girls. We loved that each of the bridesmaids had a different bouquet – they looked so fab.

Loved that the girls’ toenails were a perfect match for their dresses…

Real Life Wedding: St Michael’s Linlithgow, followed by Dundas Castle

27 September 2025

From our very first meeting with Catherine and Alex, when they told us about their Dundas Castle wedding, we were grinning from ear to ear. These two are warm, easy going and love each other to bits. The way they speak about their family and friends made it clear that this wedding was going to be a blast from beginning to end.

Real Life Wedding: Seamill Hydro

19 September 2025

The Seamill Hydro is one of those wedding venues where you feel like you’ve escaped for the weekend. For Kirsty and Ross their wedding was all about ’emotional hilarity’ which is a phrase we understand completely. These two chose marriage because they love each other to bits and they wanted to share that with their family and friends (who they are super close to). But also life is too short not to have an absolute blast whenever you get the opportunity so why let your wedding day be anything less that 100% fun?

Real Life Wedding: Drumsheugh Gardens and Noto, Edinburgh

18 September 2025

Cori and Ian’s wedding was  magical. From their ceremony (a private garden in the heart of Edinburgh’s new town)  to their party (dinner at their favourite restaurant with their closest family and friends) it was a dream. Add to that a moment set aside for their firstlook and quality time spent in the gardens sipping champagne, hanging out with their favourites and even walking with their daughter little P and first born four legged Finn.
