Katia & William’s Wedding, Abercorn Church followed by Hopetoun House, South Queensferry

What a wonderful wedding to be a part of – a gorgeous, balmy summer’s day…a lovely bride and groom, really great guests (brought together from 13 countries!)  and one of our most favourite venues to work in, it really didn’t feel like it was work, it was such an enjoyable day. Katia and William, you made it all happen so thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your celebrations and start of your new life…

We’re sometimes asked what we photograph during preparations… For us, it’s all in the details. We love creating moments of calmness before the rest of the day unfolds. It’s a chance to savour all the thought and planning that’s gone into your wedding day. Katia – we loved your colour scheme – it was just beautiful.

The food at Hopetoun House is always amazing – we love what Heritage Portfolio do. Yes – it did taste as good as it looks…

We loved the flowers that Planet Flowers designed for Hopetoun House; especially the simplicity of eight glass vases of blooms all along the fireplace – it was really inspired…

Real Life Wedding: Hopetoun House

Hopetoun House is magical pretty much most days. But the day of Nic and Oli’s wedding it seemed to have an extra layer of something. Perhaps it was the weather (impeccably behaved for once), or the sweet sound of laughter on the breeze, or just the general vibe of all things extraordinarily perfect…

Real Life Wedding: Dunglass Estate

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?
