Kate & James’ Wedding, Inchcolm Abbey on Inchcolm Island followed by Orocco Pier, South Queensferry

Near Edinburgh, in the middle of the River Forth is an Island – Incholm Island. It’s a little bit special as it has an Abbey on it and makes the perfect setting for a wedding.

Kate and James’ wedding was a wonderful Scottish-Aussie mix with many of the guests having journeyed far and wide to be a part of the celebrations. It was such a top day, despite the ‘interesting’ Scottish weather! All their guests were treated to a trip out to Inchcolm Island and then a wedding celebration back on dry land at Orocco Pier in South Queensferry.

We had a fab day with you two! We loved how relaxed you were throughout – it was really so special to see lots of familiar faces, especially on James’ side of the family.

Enjoy some of our highlights from your Island wedding and we look forward to catching up with you both really soon,

Real Life Wedding: Hopetoun House

25 May 2024

Hopetoun House is magical pretty much most days. But the day of Nic and Oli’s wedding it seemed to have an extra layer of something. Perhaps it was the weather (impeccably behaved for once), or the sweet sound of laughter on the breeze, or just the general vibe of all things extraordinarily perfect…

Real Life Wedding: Dunglass Estate

06 April 2024

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

03 April 2024

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?
