How excited have we been to see so many glimpses of sunshine recently? That feeling of oooh spring is round the corner (and we’re going to totally ignore the snow we’ve witnessed recently!)…
Karen and David’s wedding day had lots of lovely sun peaking through and Balbirnie House was the perfect setting for their relaxed early spring wedding.
This pair are so laid back and at ease with each other and so obviously soul-mates. We really enjoyed getting to know them and so quickly felt relaxed around them as all anyone who knows them will know well… we just knew they would be lots of fun to photograph. We have so many highlights from the day… from hanging out with the girls in the morning (which was the most fun – Lisa and Lyndsey thank you for being so fab)… through to taking a wander with Karen and David round Balbirnie and even enjoying a little bit of that sunshine.
We also got to catch-up with some lovely Blue Sky friends all the way from Boston. Andrew and Emily, it was lovely to see you again and we hope the snow had melted by time you guys got home! Andrew we hope ‘the diary’ went down well?
Karen and David thank you so much for letting us be part of your top day. Here are some highlights. We’re so excited about catching-up and sharing the whole story with you.
Can’t wait to hear how amazing your honeymoon was – we’ve a feeling we’re going to be a teeny little bit jealous!
See you soon,
A&N

Love this shot of the ladies peaking out on the guests arriving below…

Drumtochty Castle weddings in autumn are simply magical. Andrea and Mike planned theirs to perfection – with the sage greens and golds and oranges of the flowers creating a warmth within the castle as well as outwith.
Getting to know these two as been a lot of fun. They make a top team and have a similar wonderful sense of humour. Highlights from their day include Andrea’s walk down the aisle, the emotional readings, the quaich ceremony (led by Uncle John), the speeches (Andrea’s killer line announcing “Mike I have made you a better person” had the room in stitches). And of course the most brilliant first dance.
Laura and Calum’s wedding was always going to be a day filled with smiles a-plenty and the kind of party atmosphere that fills Mansfield to its rooftops. It was such a privilege to photograph this wedding as it feels like we’ve known Laura forever and meeting Calum and little Rae has been a delight.
Words these two would use to sum up their wedding are sentimental, sincere and silly… it was a day jam-packed with friends, family, fun and a wee dram or two of Fluffylump.
The Royal College of Physicians is a little piece of wedding magic right in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. For Isla and Patrick it was nothing short of perfect.
It’s a known fact that they are besotted with each other. In the best kind of way which means they look out for each other and take the time to check-in (even on the wedding morning) But also they include all of their family and friends which makes everyone love them more Their vows were the most beautiful vows we have ever heard, but then they are both exceptionally gifted with words so we should have expected nothing less.
