Hopetoun House could not have been a more perfect spot for Anneliese & Jack’s wedding. Firstly because Anneliese’s parents also got married there (just a few years ago ????) Secondly, because it’s the ideal spot for a summer wedding. You know the vibe is right when the soft sounds of the sax drifting on the breeze cause some impromptu dancing.
Anneliese & Jack thank you for creating such a genuinely fun wedding day. You two (and your family and friends) are so much fun to be around. I don’t think either of you stopped smiling all day. We love how you don’t take yourselves too seriously and find humour in everything. Your cake cutting, speedily before it subsided entirely, has to be one of our favourites.
And how about that epic rainbow? It’s a sign surely that you two are going to have the best time as husband and wife?
For now enjoy highlights of your effortlessly perfect wedding day.
#BigBlueSkyLove,
Alie & Niels xx
Hopetoun House is one of those take-your-breath-away venues. We challenge anyone not to drive up that driveway and feel more than a little bit in awe. And if you’re on your way to a party there then be prepared to be wined and dined and thoroughly ensconced in so much Scottish history you’ll feel a little bit more intelligent just being there.
We have been privileged to photograph one or two weddings and events there over the years. So if you want to see more take a peak at our Goosebump List

Katie and Michael’s Mansfield Traquair wedding was all about enjoying every single minute. Which was pretty easy as literally this pair walk into a room and bring the party.
Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
