Catriona & Lewis

Real Life Wedding: East Lothian

East Lothian is a stone’s throw from Edinburgh but for us it’s another world – one filled with sunshine, beaches and weddings that are oozing with laidback vibes. The wedding of Cat and Lewis was the most incredible party. It was laidback and chilled because they’d planned it that way. When I say planned I mean also helped create… from tennis courts turned into event space, barns turned into casinos and even a hidden whisky snug these two put so much love and care into every part of their day, encompassing all of their favourite things.

Oh and while we’re on the theme of favourite things oysters, champagne and cosmos are the kind of ingredients that get the party started. Although the party vibe was next level. We also now believe all weddings should have a live DJ for the drinks reception.

Cat and Lewis can we please come to all your parties? We had an absolute blast with you two and your family and friends. Thanks for being so much fun to be around and for being up for jumping into fields in the sun. We cannot wait to share all of your photographs with you. For now, here’s some highlights of the most incredible wedding party.

#BigBlueSkyLove,

Alie & Niels xx

Real Life Wedding: Hopetoun House

25 May 2024

Hopetoun House is magical pretty much most days. But the day of Nic and Oli’s wedding it seemed to have an extra layer of something. Perhaps it was the weather (impeccably behaved for once), or the sweet sound of laughter on the breeze, or just the general vibe of all things extraordinarily perfect…

Real Life Wedding: Dunglass Estate

06 April 2024

Alex and Molly are the kind of people who embrace life and all it throws at them. Including what we can only be described as the windiest wedding I think we’ve ever been at (think winds of 50 mph – enough to take out huge stone planters) And the result was a wedding day that was even more magical that anyone could have imagined.

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

03 April 2024

Their spring wedding was beautiful in spite of the rain (think one of the wettest days ever). Actually it was a little more beautiful because of the rain. As family and friends dashed for cover under mutlicloured brollies there were smile, giggles and lot of togetherness. And what could be better than cosying up in Drumtochty Castle as the wood burners crackle?
