Dundas Castle was the perfect setting for a wedding that just felt like the most wonderful family party. Laura and Matthias’ love story is a more than a little bit fairytale. Meeting at high school they have shared many adventures (and countries) together. It is so obvious that not only are this pair made for each other, but they have so much love and support in their wider family and friends groups. It was the kind of wedding where everyone was made to feel part of the celebrations. They also had the cutest, and most helpful, flowergirl in Georgia.
Thank you Laura and Matthias for letting us tell this part of your love story. We loved everything about your day – from your tear-stained wedding ceremony through to your speeches and your bouncing dance floor. Thanks too for (literally) chasing that spectacular evening light with us.
Here’s a glimpse into the day that was everything you’d promised and so much more. Can’t wait to catch-up soon and share all with you.
#BigBlueSkyLove,
Alie & Niels xx
P.S. If you’re looking for a wedding ceremony reading we loved the one Laura and Matthias had – see it on Love My Dress

A Christmas wedding at the Signet Library is the stuff dreams are made of. Especially when Planet Flowers added their festive finesse, crafting tables bedecked with Christmas-clad candelabras, brilliant book baubles, and gilded tomes as table names. The table plan, piled high with oversized books and quills, was nothing short of storybook perfection.
The vibes of Steph and Gav’s Dundas Castle Christmas wedding were distinctly winter snuggles combined with overtones of party (Solo Sax anyone) and of course some festive treats. This pair met at a Burns’ Supper so Roddy the Piper delivering the Address to the Haggis was a must.
Is there anything more perfect than an intimate Balmoral Hotel wedding at Christmas time? All of your favourites together in the heart of Edinburgh watching you tie the knot… and then celebrating together with the best of food and wine, and a tune or two along the way…
