Claire & Nicholas’ Wedding, The Roxburghe Hotel, Kelso, Part 1

From the moment we drove down the driveway of the Roxburghe Hotel in Kelso, we had enormous grins on our faces.  We knew that we were in for one amazing day of fun, love and and a whole lot of action.

Few brides and grooms would consider holding a sports day the morning of their wedding celebrations, but that’s exactly what the fantastic Claire and Nicholas did.  These two had it all planned and we witnessed space-hopper racing, weightlifting, skipping, press-up sessions (and yes, that really is Nicholas, the groom, CLAPPING between press-ups…!) Rock hard!

Everyone totally threw themselves into it… (lycra was encouraged, although not compulsory!) and it was a teeny little bit competitive. Seriously I think some guests had been in training for weeks to prepare! Loved it…

How on earth do you follow that? Well, Claire and Nicholas’ wedding was filled with so much love and laughter that the whole day was one immense day of fun, fun, fun.  Topped off with some more spacer-hopper action… look out for this all in Part two – coming next week! We can’t wait…

Much Blue Sky love,

Real Life Wedding: Dundas Castle

14 September 2024

Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

17 August 2024

Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
