Cairns Farm Estate sits just outside Edinburgh, yet feels like it’s a million miles away from the city.
The day of Carly and Andrew’s wedding was jam-packed with energy and love. It was the kind of day where the wind is in charge and you just have to go with it. These two are the ultimate go-with-the-flow kind of people and everyone loves them for it.
Carly and Andrew thank you for embracing everything that your wedding day brought and for going where the wind took you. I don’t think either of you stopped smiling all day. A huge highlight for you two (and I think everyone else in the room) was the aisle walk – first with little Darcey and then Carly and Dad. We love your description of your wedding as a beautiful family party as it was that and then some. Your family and friends were a delight to be around and Aunty Linda can join our photography team any day.
Enjoy highlights of your wonderfully windswept and effortlessly perfect wedding day.

Alie & Niels xx
By the time you arrive at Cairns Farm Estate you’ll already feel like you’ve left the cares and buzz of the city far behind. Nestled into the foot of the Pentalnds, surrounded by water and forest, it feels remote in all the best ways.
We love that you can hold your whole wedding here – from ceremony to dancing – and there is so much space you can fit all your friends and family in.
An added bonus has to be the proximity to sheep and highland cattle, visible from the picture windows on all sides of the barn.
We reckon this is the barn venue that Edinburgh was in need of and is everything you would hope it would be.

Katie and Michael’s Mansfield Traquair wedding was all about enjoying every single minute. Which was pretty easy as literally this pair walk into a room and bring the party.
Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
