Beth & Jonathan’s Wedding, Comlongon Castle, Dumfries

The 5th of November has to be a pretty memorable date for a wedding…

When Beth and Jof first told their friends and family they were getting married in a castle in Scotland in winter they anticipated that it would be beautiful, but maybe just a little bit cold and possibly even a touch snowy! What no one expected was a gorgeous sunny winter’s day. It was absolutely perfect.  The sky was as blue as a summers day, with gorgeous bursts of winter sun low in the sky.

From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and so much a part of the day. Beth and Jof – your vision of a relaxed , fun, get together to celebrate your wedding abolsutely came true. Comlongon Castle worked so well and being married by Jof’s Dad made it all the more personal and special. The cosy fires and candlelight created the perfect atmosphere for a fab house-party.

It was an absolute pleasure to tell your wedding story. Here is a little preview for you to enjoy.

The wedding cake was made by a family friend and we loved how much care and attention had been put into it – so special.

The speeches were awesome and concluded with all of Beth and Jof’s guests singing a rendition of Home & Away’s theme tune  – and we went home with the tune in our minds – sweet!

And then all and Beth and Jof’s guests were invited outside for some fireworks to celebrate their wedding – remember, remember the fifth of November!

The party began with a very romantic first dance…

It was that and more so.. This pair and their family and friends had the best day. One of Kirsty (and her Dad’s) favourite moments was the aisle walk in the church. It’s one of those memories that will also stay with us forever. Talk about epic entrance – the goosebumps were real.

Real Life Wedding: Signet Library

14 December 2024

A Christmas wedding at the Signet Library is the stuff dreams are made of. Especially when Planet Flowers added their festive finesse, crafting tables bedecked with Christmas-clad candelabras, brilliant book baubles, and gilded tomes as table names. The table plan, piled high with oversized books and quills, was nothing short of storybook perfection.

Real Life Wedding: Dundas Castle

07 December 2024

The vibes of Steph and Gav’s Dundas Castle Christmas wedding were distinctly winter snuggles combined with overtones of party (Solo Sax anyone) and of course some festive treats. This pair met at a Burns’ Supper so Roddy the Piper delivering the Address to the Haggis was a must.
