For anyone who’s in the know Barnbougle Castle weddings are more than a little bit special. It’s one of those Castles that is hidden in plain site – right on the banks of the Forth, just outside Edinburgh.
Aimee and Michael’s wedding was the perfect blend of romantic chill (think Scottish country castle meets Ibiza vibes – special mention to Gus on the decks)
From the minute Aimee arrived at the Castle with her Dad, in his classic red Morgan, the scene was set for an epic day. One of Michael’s highlights was seeing Aimee glide down the aisle. Kathleen Hood then led the ceremony sharing this pair’s love story, including mention of the 114,00 or so WhatsApp messages exchanged. Their ceremony was topped off by an incredible group sing of You & Me by the Wannabies ably accompanied by some moves on the maracas. It was impossible not to join in.
The weather was a surprise guest, allowing family and friends to sip bubbles outside the Castle, with the wise prepared with sunnies. The beach at Barnbougle Castle (yes it has its own beach too) was the perfect spot for evening cocktails and a few extra photographs.
Thank you Aimee and Michael for letting us tell this next chapter of your love story. We hope you both continue to smile as much as you did on your wedding day. Don’t ever grow up (either of you) and remember that you chose each other.
Excited to catch-up soon and share your full collection.
#BigBlueSkyLove,
Alie & Niels xx

Katie and Michael’s Mansfield Traquair wedding was all about enjoying every single minute. Which was pretty easy as literally this pair walk into a room and bring the party.
Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
