Sara and Peter’s Balmoral Hotel wedding was a day to be remembered. Their day was a true testament to the power of love, friendship, and the magic that surrounds weddings.
We have so many highlights – from their personal ceremony, through to their entertaining speeches. And throughout it all these two just smiled and enjoyed every minute. If Sara and Peter were to describe their wedding day in just three words, those words would be “Happy, Joyous, Love.” We couldn’t put it better ourselves.
Thank you Sara and Peter for letting us tell this part of your story… and for being up for dancing in the sun on the roof. We think you two make a top team and your friends and family clearly (and quite rightly) adore you.
Here’s a glimpse into your wedding day. Can’t wait to share all with you very soon!

Did you know the Balmoral Hotel was the very first place in Edinburgh that Blue Sky Photography photographed a wedding? True fact. All the way back in the giddy heights of 2003. And we love the hotel as much now as we did then. Truth is we probably love it even more. Because since then we have discovered so many hidden nooks and crannies. Since then we have photographed so many incredible events, from weddings for two, to parties for hundreds. And for each and ever one the Balmoral Hotel (and the fabulous team) delivers on style, substance and something special that you feel from the minute you push those gold revolving doors.
Katie and Michael’s Mansfield Traquair wedding was all about enjoying every single minute. Which was pretty easy as literally this pair walk into a room and bring the party.
Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
