Edinburgh Family Photography: Baby Ada

This beautiful family of three came to us when Baby Ada was 3 months old. From first contact we knew they were a Blue Sky Family. They loved our style of photography. Images that were light, bright and clean without lots of props were their top priority. That brief just makes us smile. I loved that Mum Julie had thought about what she wanted from her photography, but also was so happy to go with the flow and follow Ada’s lead. As so often with babies with a little bit of milk, a power nap and plenty of cuddles set up the scene for a lovely varied photoshoot. Ada was a natural in front of the camera and was so cute in all her little outfits. Helping this family choose the images and frames for their home was a joy as I know they’ll be loved for years to come. Big Blue Sky love Sarah x

Edinburgh Family Photography – Post Lockdown

As Edinburgh family photographers we never take for granted what a precious job we have. We know so many families have missed out on family photography over the last year. It makes us sad for all the newborn babies we’ve not been able to photograph. But we want to re-assure you that you can still get gorgeous photographs of your baby even though or she isn’t as tiny.

Just look at Baby Ada’s super sweet smile – it could genuinely light up a room. Older babies are less likely to be sleepy for their first photoshoot, so you won’t necessarily get that newborn shuteye, but that just allows us the chance to photography their little personalities. And is there anything more magical than eye-twinkling baby smiles?

The other thing that was lovely about this family shoot was that Mum brought lots of different outfits. This is great for us as photographer. We can help suggest which ones will work best and it allows for any quick changes should they be needed.
