Gemma & Chris’ Wedding, Hopetoun House, South Queensferry, Part 2
And now, part two of the fabulous wedding of Gemma and Chris at Hopetoun House…
Gemma and Chris decided to hold the wedding breakfast in The Stables which looked jaw-droppingly beautiful with layer upon layer of texture in floristry, fabric and light… The detailing was immense, from charcoal grey table clothes, ruffled chair backs through to embroidered linen napkins with Gemma and Chris’ guests names… and the flowers? One word – WOW!
Gemma and Chris’ speeches were fab and got lots of giggles. It was nice to hear Barry thanking Planet Flowers for their great work for Gemma and Chris’ wedding ;–) Rachel we hope you got your bouquet at the end of the night?
Gemma and Chris had a beautiful guest book which was a Thumb Tree Guest book, asking each guest to “leaf” their thumb print and sign their name. It looked fab and fitted with the theme perfectly (we’d expect nothing less!)

Looking after their guests was really important to these guys and the food, from Heritage Portfolio, as always was delish and presented beautifully – even with home dried leafs on the soup plate to tie into the wedding theme… fab! As for the pistachio custard – Niels reckons he could have eaten a vat of it…
We absolutely adored Gemma’s desert table. Her genius vision came together to look like a work of art and it tasted exquisite with macaroons, cake pops, mini cup cakes, fudge brownie bites and of course Tom’s handmade Scottish tablet. Yummy. Oh and Jed and Beth say thank you for their goody bag (well Jed more than Beth as I think he devoured a little more!!!)
The evening celebrations kicked off with some great dancing… especially from two little people who were rocking the dancefloor…
The detailing wasn’t just saved for inside the Stables, Gemma had planned outside too… so we took full advantage of this and grabbed some stunning night time shots too… wowzers…
And so it ended, with a sparkler farewell to the very new and very happy Mr and Mrs B…
We loved, loved, loved being a part of this ahh-mazing wedding… And how beautiful is their Queensberry album going to be? Can’t wait.
Gemma and Chris, words fail us (almost!) Thank you so much for allowing us to be with you on such an incredible day. We think the world of you and loved being able to capture the creativity, thought, care and love that was so evident throughout your day.

Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).
Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle
Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
Gemma’s dress is lovely and really suits her. I LOVE the jacket! So classy and feminine.
I loooooooved viewing this wedding! So many gorgeous detailing. Do you know who organised their desert table?? Its to die for!!
