Kiren & Sandeep’s Wedding Celebrations – Part 2 – Kiren’s Ladies Sangeet

And here as promised is the second post from Kiren and Sandeep’s amazing wedding celebrations. Kiren’s Ladies Sangeet was the night before the actual wedding day and it was a great night, full of special ceremonies and lots of laughs… and of course some wicked dancing.

Here’s Kiren’s party…

The ladies had decorated the room and the colours were so vibrant – it looked fab.

At Kiren’s Ladies Sangeet the Choora (Bangle Ceremony) was performed.  Kiren’s family took it in turns to place red and white bangles on her wrist… she will wear these bangles throughout the first few weeks of marriage.

A second part of Kiren’s Choora involved the ladies tying ornaments made of silver and gold to the bangles and then attaching earrings to her. She was truly sparkling…

There was some singing at Kiren’s Ladies Sangeet and also some entertainment, which involved pretend gifts from the other side of the family. There was much giggling at the choice of ‘gifts’ from the new side of the family.

And then into the dancing. Similar to Sandeep’s party there was more dancing with the Jaggo. Although Kiren had two Jaggo’s at her party (of course!)… and the dance floor was rocking from there on in. Even Niels was spotted moving in time to the tunes…

And so the debate is on as to which side of the family are better dancers. We’ll sit on the fence and say both pre-wedding parties were fantastic… athough just wait until you see the next post of their actual wedding day. Coming really soon…

Dundas Castle is always magical at the start of autumn. The trees are on the edge of turning and when you step inside the Castle the smell of the fires welcomes you. For Alice and Daniel September is also a pretty special month as it’s also the month they first met (at Glasgow University fresher’s week).

Real Life Wedding: Drumtochty Castle

Beverley and Mark’s Drumtochty Castle wedding was personal and perfect from beginning to end. They had all their favourite people involved (from Stepdad Ross and his brother Charlie conducting the service through to friends playing the organ). Oh and one of the best surprises had to be Mark’s family serenading this pair (we will always think of you when we hear the song Alleluia )
