Autumn Signet Library Wedding

It had to be the Signet Library. I mean where else do two Edinburgh book-loving, sophisticated legal brains feel more at home?

This was an incredible wedding to be part of for oodles of reasons. The main one being we are massive fans of Katie and Dougie. They are two of the most genuine, caring, funny and warm humans. And together they make the best of teams.

We’ve known Katie and her family for a long time so it was a privilege to be wedding photographers for her and Dougie. Highlights? Where do we start? Scroll down for few moments we loved (but really the whole day was a beautiful mix of everything Katie and Dougie value – family, friends and fun – because one of the things we love most about this pair is that they don’t take themselves too seriously)

“One of my favourite parts of the day was getting ready with my Mum in the morning in her room”.

If Katie and Dougie could replay a clip from their wedding day over and over again it would be their vows. These were vows they’d taken the time to write for each other. There were a lot of tears in that lower library. The best kind of tears.

The drinks reception in the lower library at the Signet Library was buzzing and the music trio (friends of Dougie’s) were fabulous 👌🏻

“The friends’ photo was one of the highlights of the day for me”.

We agree – this team are the best kind of bonkers and what can be better than posing with your favourite people on a staircase that was built for royalty?

Of course we had to capture a moment at the Dundas & Wilson box.

When it came to the Upper Library… all we can say is wow! We also loved the moment Katie and Dougie entered the library following their piper.

Speeches were (naturally) superb.

From Katie and Dougie’s epic first dance to guests (literally throwing themselves into the ceilidh) it was the kind of party you would have wanted to be at. Fact.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Katie and Dougie. We would re-live your wedding day all over again in a heartbeat. We’re chuffed to bits we got to tell your story and we CANNOT wait to share all. See you in a few short weeks,

#BigBlueSkyLove

P.S. Trainers are always a good idea – especially when they’re Gucci trainers 😉
